Early 2023, I stood up in front of a big tech audience and described a market where a broker bot negotiates with an underwriter bot, and a human underwriter works across both. We called them bots. Nobody said agents yet.

Three years on, the bots are real and the vocabulary has moved on. The hard part is still the human in the middle.
