Mankind would converge with machines by 2030 in a Kurzweil-style fusion — physical integration, the Neuromancer arc, the Fourth Industrial Revolution as predicted.

now I think

The convergence is real and the timeline is holding, but the shape is psychological codependency, not physical integration. We are merging with machines via attention, not via wires.
